Understanding literacies
As you know, Learning Connections are supporting the idea of publishing your collected essays and will fund us meeting up to discuss how we want to edit the material as well as putting the finished product on the alo website.
So at last we can set about actually planning how we do this, knowing that it is properly resourced. The approved costs will support your travel costs if necessary and we can look at funding loss of earnings too if applicable. However it would be great if your employers would ‘buy in’ to the project by actively supporting you to participate – in whatever form is appropriate. The idea is that the publication will be used as a stimulus to encourage recording and research by literacies practitioners and it is hoped to use the material we produce straight away with the current TQAL cohort to encourage their development as researchers/recorders.
I’m hoping you feel as excited by this idea as I do, and that you will be able to meet on 21st Dec 2009 - probably 10ish to 3ish. Please give me an idea of what time you could start/have to finish. It would also be really helpful to know if you have any reservations about taking part.
Can we start by each putting up a page for your essay in the form you would be prepared to share it? Click add a page to the left hand menu. You may want to take out names etc as this wiki can be viewed by anyone who comes across it - though only you are able to edit. Remember to press save before you try to leave your page!
